# Multivan California ...... Its growing on me!

Never hated it, for a (rich) lone person or couple, it's do-able. Whichever way you cut it while the exterior dimensions are larger the interior is about 4/5's the size of your existing Cali. So it's getting tight.  
  
I think we have a different measure compared to the chap presenting of "plenty of space under here"....

Not seen one in the flesh yet, but from the pics it looks like one of those new build show homes full of clever gadgets & where all the furniture is 3/4 size to make the rooms look bigger and nobody has any actual possessions.

Like you said.   
It looks nice, Sever seen one up close but only on Photo or Youtube video.   
All I can see is that it will be a very costly thing, and it looks smaler on Photo then an T6/6.1 when you stand next to it.   
Have a look at the Video from Campervan Time where the visit Busfest. Sarah stands next to an Multivan and does the same with an T6.1.   
The difference is masive

My understanding is that the boot space is narrower but deeper, so probably has about the same volume.  
The biggest problem for me is the length at nearly 20cm longer than the T6, which would make it visibly too long for parking spaces and harder to park on narrow London streets.

I think the other challenge with the length is because the windscreen has a more acute rake vs the 6.1 greater overall vehicle length does not convert to usable interior space.

Perhaps the head restraints won't intrude into the storage area below when the bed is down like they do on the T6.  
If some of the design features are translated into a bigger base vehicle (Transit /T7) then the end product might be appealing.

The Multi-van California appeared to lack storage space from what I could see in the videos. Even with just myself and the dog I manage to fill all available cupboards and the boot in my T6 when camping out. It is also based on what is essentially a car platform compared to the commercial footings of the T6 - are they going to be good for 200K miles and maybe 20 years of use? I doubt it.

No wardrobe that I can see. Perhaps it’ll be in the final production version.
