Hi there, still waiting patiently for my new Ocean. Has anyone already bought a bunk ladder for the T7 and if so which one.

Thanks

Hi...I understand a ladder to move to upper deck? There are a kind of removable steps that you hang around the head rest of front seats and help you move up there: even kind of easy to do yourself

I've got the ones from campervan bits. We are a bit old for climbing

I got one from Campervanbits, the two section ladder.
There are a few manufacturers suggesting they will make a T7 version.
It works well but is too long to sit behind the rear seats, I need to chop a couple of inches off it.

Does the top hook bit, hook into anywhere on the open part upstairs like a 6.1?
I just bought the Maxxcamp ones with the hope they work in the t7 ocean.

Last time I looked the T7 version from Maxxcamp is on back order.
There isn’t really anything to hook onto.
You will probably find you’ll want to shorten the ladder so that you can store it behind the seats, at the moment I stand mine up behind on of the rear seats.

I also bought that one and hang it behind the passenger seat when travelling. Seems the right length in use though. Wrap a bungy around the two sections to stop it rattling when driving and use both included soft pads when in use to not damage roof entry.

Sounds like it will do the trick then.
A Maxxcamp 6.1 one.

I ordered the Maxxcamp T7 version as it will fit across the Spacemate pull out drawer however having used it this weekend it just didn’t fit, even with the seats right back against the dash it was pressing the ‘seat bolster air button’ (I don’t know what it is actually called).
It turns out the ladder they sent me is 140cm fully extended not the 143cm they advertised.
I will let you know how they respond.
I the meantime I’m reverting to the one from the club shop even though that version is really too long.

Max camp have responded by saying their translation was incorrect and the T7 ladder should only be 140cm not the 143cm on their website.

I suspect this might be an issue with right hand drive vehicles as they have said it shouldn’t touch the seats if they are pushed forward.
Be aware that if you buy this version as soon as you put weight on the bottom step it will flex the ladder nearly out of the track it is intended to slot into.
The build quality is great but it clearly needs to be a couple of centimetres longer for UK vehicles.
I’d be interested to know if anyone else in the UK has one and have the same issue?

I have exactly the same experience with the same ladder. I managed to work around it by tilting the front seats forward more so they are nearer to vertical (rather than slanted backwards of that makes sense); the result being that you can push the seats closer to the dash and avoid the drivers side lumber support button when the ladder is up. Should fit fairly snuggly.

Thank you, I have also tried tilting the seat backs forward to get the seats to the furthest forward.
I’m still not confident that the ladder ‘locks’ in the slot in the roof, it pulls away when you step on it because it sits against the seat surrounds.
I have been in contact with Maxxcamp who are at a motorhome trade show, with T7’s on site this weekend and are going to see whether I am correct that it needs to be 2cm longer. They were suggesting that in left hand drive vehicles the ladder sits offset and completely clears the plastic seat surrounds.
