There are jump posts in the engine bay for petrol and diesel models, if it’s hybrid then it’s a call out I’m afraid

Sorry you've not had a good start to your holiday.and hope it doesn't affect you continuing.
May I ask what your van is plse - hybrid/diesel/petrol ?
Was told our van didn't need update doing on it.
We used our hybrid van for 2 nights with no issues (4 days after picking up from dealer) but it will not be used now for another 4 weeks - am slight concerned.

### [Battery management issues VW New California T7](https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/threads/battery-management-issues-vw-new-california-t7.57626/)

Hi everyone, As an owner of a VW New California Beach Camper eHybrid, i have been experiencing some battery management issues that other owners have been similarly complaining about (both hybrid and non-hybrid models). Concretely: it seems that once parked (whether or not in camping mode), the...

These are your jump posts, red positive, black negative. Contact your dealer and give them your chassis number to see if your van requires the 27T7 update

That’s very frustrating.
You’ll see from the thread mentioned above that lots of people are having this issue with the starter battery.
There is a suggestion to turnoff the keyless entry in the infotainment system, my van hasn’t suffered from the starter battery issue yet and I still have the keyless entry feature turned on but my van keys are over 50m from the van when I park up. I don’t know if people have their keys nearer to their van if it is pinging the van and consuming power.
I have a small lithium jump pack in my glove box just in case.

Maybe a result of the flat battery. Once it’s had a good run and fully charged restart the vehicle, may reset.

Ange, I would let your dealer know that you’ve had a flat battery.
The starter battery is a 12v AGM and they don’t like dropping below 12v, if you can get a reading (even from the California app) if it happens again I would be asking for a replacement if it continues.

Ange - the charger cable still connected is known problem - and can be resolved by the battery management software update. Mine was done before I picked it up, for this very reason - and the flattening battery. It’s all working now. So have a chat with your dealer.

As many of you know I’m not suffering with the flat battery issue yet.
There’s a recent post about the S5 Scorpion tracker and I realised that you can have a push alert for low battery condition.
