Good morning... New member here

I currently have a Mercedes Marco Polo

I am about to sign the order for a stock vehicle for delivery next week

Two questions for which hopefully some existing owners can help

Is the New California classed as MPV or van on the V5... And therefore importantly do normal car speed limits apply?

Have the electrical issues which required software updates and recalls been resolved? All the stock vehicles at the local dealer had completely flat batteries and everything dead

Regarding the battery issues we took delivery of our hybrid California on 28th July and were advised battery issues sorted. First weekend camping after 24h no charge in leisure batteries or 12V engine battery. Long and convoluted rescue, vehicle eventually dragged onto a low loader and currently back at dealership awaiting a hardware and a software update. Up until now they have been unable to run diagnostics as even the 12V replacement battery which failed to start the vehicle was dead after 24h. We have rejected the vehicle and have our T6 back. Awaiting our full refund. Personally I would wait for proof the current update works before jumping in, at the moment my confidence in the new T7 is very low.

There was a comment on here that the PHEV was subject to the luxury car VED charge ....therefore normal speed limits would apply

Normal car speed limits apply as the weight in lower than 3.050 tonnes., UNLESS you have the misfortune of having dealer registering it as a van (which has happened!!).

Hi all. I appreciiate that this topic was discussed in April but I couldn't find a definitive reply (ie section 123 of the highway code) which by the way gives a limit of 2T for 30,60.70,70 and

Wow! That is shocking! ( no pun intended). VW really need to get their act together! It does not fill me with any confidence regarding the new one at all.
