Not on the beach, no - need to specify the parking pack to get it.  
  
In terms of recommendations - best bet depending on where you live is to visit a VW electrics specialist who will fit, code and calibrate. Someone like this:

You can also get ones that double as the rear view mirror   
  
This depends how much you pack in the rear when away.

When you engage reverse the car play/ android auto is overridden by the parking display so I imagine it wouldn't be practical
