I’ve been looking at the specs for the **California T7 PHEV** and comparing them with the **Multivan T7 PHEV (7-seater)**. I’m trying to understand why the **California Beach Tour** is limited to **4 seats** instead of 5. I’ve noted all the specs from the website in the table below. ![1769984864589.png](images/1769984864589-png.143771 "1769984864589.png") Assuming an average person weighs about **75 kg**, and an additional seat adds around **25 kg**, the California Ocean PHEV is more than **100 kg heavier than the Beach**. Based on that, it seems like the Beach could support one more seat. Is there a **business reason** for limiting the Cali Beach PHEV to 4 seats, or is there a **technical/regulatory limitation** that I’m missing? Here in Germany there are three versions of the Beach available (Beach, Beach Tour and Beach Camper). All are available with the plug in hybrid motor. Beach Tour and Beach Camper both have 5 seats.
